ETT Kids is here to support young athletes and parents on their journey to becoming a triathlete.

ages 6-13

Teamed with the Rose City Sprint Triathlon, our Rose City Kids Triathlon sets the scene for the perfect family-friendly healthy living experience. This premier event will offer young athletes of all levels the unique opportunity to enjoy the excitement of competition without the anxiety that comes with being a novice. All finishing participants will be awarded an esteemed medal. Parents, family, and friends are invited to cheer on the racers while enjoying the beautiful lake venue nestled among the piney woods.

The kids event IS NOT USAT sanctioned.

about Kids Triathlon

The 50-yard and 100-yard open water swim will be a well-monitored point-to-point swim in shallow depths. The wave start will be a standing entry and an easy exit. The flat two-mile loop will be completely closed to traffic. There will be volunteers to help keep the riders on course and monitor lap requirements. The flat one-mile loop will be completely closed to traffic with a 360° viewpoint for spectators. There will be volunteers along the way to guide all participants and monitor lap requirements. The children will start in color-coded grade-level waves.

what you need

Reduce stress and forgetfulness by creating a race day checklist.

Race Needs

  • Swimsuit or tri suit (arrive wearing suit)
  • Goggles (if needed)
  • Small towel for drying off in Transition
  • Bike
  • Bike helmet
  • Closed toe running shoes
  • Socks (if wearing)
  • Shorts
  • Shirt with bib number attached to the front (bib number provided in Race Kit)
  • Water bottle

Other Needed Items

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat / visor
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera
  • Money / credit or debit card
  • Nutrition – post-race recovery drink/snack for athlete (as needed, refreshments will be provided to athletes after the finish line)
  • Large towel and post-race change of clothes for athlete
  • Plastic bag to hold wet items
  • Easy-to-carry bag to hold everything (i.e. backpack, gym bag, large tote)
